Finally Priyamani is acting along with Mohanlal in Malayalam movie Grandmaster which is directed by B. Unnikrishnan. The film is based on the dark side of metro life. Priyamani’s character name is ‘Deepthi’ , whileMohanlal doing the role of a divorced police officer who is brilliant chess player, but fails in his life. Eventhough Priyamani doing the heroine rol, there is no romance between the hero and heroine in this film. Sidhique and Jagathy are the other major cast of the film Grandmaster. Earlier Andria Jermiah was casted for the heroine role, but due to the call sheet problems with Kamal Hassan film ‘Vishwaroopam’ she has been removed from the film.

UTV Motion Pictures enters into Mollywood by marketing this Mohanlal starrer flick.

The Malayalam star is busy with his upcoming movie, but he will manage to shoot for UTV’s new project as well

A Bollywood production house is reaching God’s Own Filmdom (Kerala). And it is casting a Malayalam superstar in its next project. Mohanlal will be a cop in UTV Motion Pictures’ venture to be directed by B Unnikrishnan.Things are happening very fast for ‘Grandmaster’. Within days of the allotment of Tatkal dates for the movie by superstar Mohanlal, the crew has already finalised the three heroines for the film.

B. Unnikrishnan says that his film would show Mohanlal in an entirely different life, and promises that this would be a totally different experience.

Shooting of the film is expected to start shortly.
